We used Mother Plumbing to repipe our entire home from cast iron to pvc as well as to fix a slab leak for a family of 7 home. Both were costly and worrisome. We couldn’t be happier or feel safer with any other company. From beginning to end Mother has proven their reliability, honesty, extensive knowledge and troubleshooting skills. Not only have they done impeccable work, but their work ethic, personal and social responsibility standards that they uphold is beyond anything we’ve ever seen or experienced from any company we’ve worked with. There are no tricks, no games, what they say is exactly what they do and charge, there are no added fees after the fact. We had several unplanned situations come up and they worked quickly and didn’t upcharge a single thing they quoted from the first estimate. We’ve worked with Colton, Stephen and Jerry and they are transparent, skilled and extremely diligent. I will only be recommending Mother Modern Plumbing from now on. They are a rare and incredible company. Thank you for making a very hard situation manageable in so many ways and keeping our family safe!

Best Service we have ever had. They had to re-do our entire plumbing. We have only been in the house for less than 4 months. What they found was horrible. Their honesty was amassing. The pictures/video showed everything. I would recommend these folks absolutely 💯.. Thank you Mother Plumbing team!!

For someone with enough plumbing experience of installing one sink faucet, SND plumbing was a blessing to my wife and I. It all started with the gurgling of the toilet, then the sewer backed up, shower back up. We hired three plumbers before calling SND all to have the problem coming right back after just a few weeks. SND was the only one that finally took the time, investigated and worked with us to determine the real cause. We had to replace our entire plumbing system underneath the foundation, and SND did a wonderful job. Five major wins I'd like to point out when we worked with Steven at SND: 1) Punctual. Steven showed up when he said he would. Sent communications and quotes to us when he said he would. 2) Patience. Steven took the time to explain everything in detail, answered all the questions in detail so we had a clear picture of what was going on, and the best and worst-case scenarios. 3) Honesty. Steven could have patched up something or gave us a temporary solution and make a quick buck. But instead, he strongly nudged us to get a foundation inspection first to help identify the true cause of the problem. He wanted to FIX IT for the next 15+ years instead of just something temporary. 3) Considerate. Not only it was a messy job to us and the tenants (trenching, digging, crawling under the foundation, all while it was raining), there were hours where we couldn't turn on the water or flush the toilets. Steven worked with us and my tenants closely to make sure we knew what to expect and when, so we could plan accordingly ahead of time. 4) Fair pricing. We did compare different quotes. SND's pricing was very reasonable 5) Confidence. By interacting with SND ahead of the project, it gave us the confidence that they were the right choice. SND is also confident with the quality of their work, so they applied many years of warranty to this large project. Thanks Steve and SND!

I had to have all of my cast iron drains replaced ☠️ As of this review all of the plumbing is completed in just under 1 week, pending the backfill. Everyone I worked with including Steven, Tyler, the excavation crew and Joe and Tyler were great to work with. They were extremely patient with my questions, thorough with information and even fixed some other minor plumbing work not directly related to the drain pipe issue before they left. Everyone worked hard, showed up on time, and were as clean as possible given they had to be laying in mud most of the time. I really appreciate everyone's hard work and dedication. You may finder lower quotes but I couldn't expect any better of care and work than what I received and that matters. Overall 5 stars to Mother Modern Plumbing......but 0/10 recommend buying a house with cast iron drain pipes in DFW 😂😭

We have lived in our home for 10 years and we knew one day sadly our cast iron would have to be replaced. I noticed more and more homes having this process done. When our home failed a pressure test for foundation adjustment, I started looking into companies to inspect the old system with a camera, all showed and I saw failed cast iron pipes. The next step was getting bids, OMG sticker shock, once we we reviewed our proposal's and understood the scope of work, the choice wasn't hard. Mother was the one we chose. Jessie was understanding and very knowledgeable and worked with us on the final price. My wife and I were really amazed with how fast they started digging, the dig crew were really good, very professional and very hard working. Jerry the plumber and his helper Conner, were unbelievable with the amount of time they put in everyday redoing all the sewer lines on our home. Jerry is dedicated to a standard of workmanship that you don't run into much these days, sadly. When Jerry was finished with his part the dig crew, Castillo Excavations, were amazing to watch them reverse the dig out process. What dirt didn't go back in was removed from the job site, not my headache thank God. Overall these guys were a good choice and yes it was more than I wanted to spend, but no regrets. Thank you Mother

Whole Home Pipe Replacement in Fort Worth: Modernize Your Water System

Brown water from the faucet or low water pressure in the shower are signs that your home’s plumbing is failing. In Fort Worth, many older houses still rely on galvanized steel pipes that are well past their prime.

These pipes rust from the inside out, which creates leaks and clogs your fixtures. You need a permanent solution that replaces these failing lines with modern materials like PEX or copper.

Mother Modern Plumbing provides whole home pipe replacement across Fort Worth. We remove the old, corroded metal and install a fresh water system that restores your pressure and protects your home’s value. Our process is designed to be as clean and efficient as possible, ensuring your home stays a stable place for your family.

Call Mother 24/7 for whole home pipe replacement in Fort Worth.

Warnings That Your Home Plumbing is Failing

  • Discolored Water: If your water looks orange or brown in the morning, your galvanized pipes are rusting. This rust eventually ends up in your drinking water and your appliances.
  • Weak Water Pressure: As pipes corrode, the opening inside the pipe gets smaller. This restricts the flow of water to your sinks and showers.
  • Frequent Pin-hole Leaks: If you have to call a plumber for small leaks every few months, the pipe walls have thinned to the point of collapse.
  • Visible Rust on Fittings: Check the pipes under your sink or near your water heater. Flaking metal or green crusty buildup are clear signs of active corrosion.
  • Strange Tastes or Odors: Old metal pipes can give your water a metallic taste. This is a signal that the protective coating inside your pipes is gone.

Fort Worth Water and Aging Homes Wear Down Metal Pipes

Fort Worth’s water supply is safe to drink, but tough on plumbing. It contains 5 to 10 GPG of minerals. Over 4-5 decades, these minerals combine with iron rust to form a thick crust inside metal pipes. This is common in homes built between 1940 and 1970.

The city also uses chloramines to treat the water. While this is great for health, it can be tough on older plumbing materials. If your home has original galvanized steel, it has been under constant chemical and mineral stress for decades. Most metal pipes were only meant to last 40 to 70 years.

If your home is in that age range, the pipes are likely reaching the end of their service life. Replacing them before they burst is the best way to avoid a major flood.

Local Neighborhoods Facing Systemic Pipe Aging

  • Bellaire: This neighborhood features large homes dating back to 1937. These older properties often have aging plumbing systems that are prone to sudden failure. We help these homeowners replace original lines to keep their classic homes running smoothly near Bryant Irvin Road.
  • Ridglea: The mid-century modern and ranch-style homes built in the 1950s and 60s are in the "red zone" for pipe failure. The original galvanized and copper pipes in these established properties are often heavily corroded. We provide full repipes to restore pressure for families near the Ridglea Theater.
  • Ryan Place: With historic homes dating back to 1911, the plumbing here requires specialized attention. Century-old bungalows often have original infrastructure that has outlived its usefulness. We carefully update these systems to modern standards while respecting the historic character ofElizabeth Boulevard.

The Professional Path to a Full System Repipe

underground photos of complete home repiping project with pvc and copper lines in fort worth, tx, mother modern plumbing

We treat a whole home repipe as a major infrastructure project. We start by mapping out the plumbing in your house to find the best way to route new lines with the least amount of mess. Our team uses strategic access points, meaning we only cut holes where they are absolutely necessary to reach the pipes.

Once the old pipes are out, we install high-quality PEX or copper. We run these new lines from your main shut-off valve to every faucet, toilet, and appliance in the house. We also install new shut-off valves at every fixture.

Before we close any walls, we perform a pressure test to prove the system is 100% watertight. Finally, we patch the drywall and match the texture so your home looks like it did before we started.

Choosing Between PEX and Copper for Long-Term Value

  • PEX (Cross-Linked Polyethylene): This is a flexible, durable plastic pipe. It is very resistant to freezing and will not rust or corrode. It is often faster to install and costs less than metal.
  • Copper: This is a traditional material with a long track record of success. It is naturally antimicrobial and can last over 50 years. It costs more but adds a premium feel to your home’s infrastructure.
  • The Decision: We help you choose the material that fits your budget and your home’s layout. Both options eliminate the rust and pressure issues found in old galvanized pipes.

Handling City Permits and Safety Standards

Repiping a whole house is a big job that requires a permit in Fort Worth. Mother manages this entire process for you. We pull the permits through the city’s Accela system and schedule all the necessary inspections. This ensures your new plumbing meets the latest safety codes.

We also make sure your system has the required safety features, like thermal expansion tanks. Our technicians provide a system that is safe, legal, and built to last. When we finish, you get a written warranty on our work and the manufacturer’s warranty on the materials.

FAQs: Whole Home Pipe Replacement in Fort Worth

  • How long does it take to repipe a whole house? Most projects take between three and five days. We work in sections so that you usually have water restored to at least one bathroom by the end of each day.
  • Will you have to tear down my walls? We have to make small openings in the drywall to reach the pipes, but we do not tear down entire walls. We use professional techniques to keep these holes as small as possible and we repair them when we are done.
  • Is it better to just repair leaks as they happen? No. If your pipes are rusting from the inside, a repair is just a temporary patch. Replacing the whole system is often cheaper in the long run than paying for repeated emergency repairs and water damage.
